About Ikkyou Kitazawa Ikkyou Kitazawa

Born in 1940 in Tochigi Prefecture .
His father is also a traditional craftsman of Tegaki Yuzen  ( dying of kimono).
In 1956(15 years old) He studied with Beizan Iijima(Master of Edo Moku-chokoku) at Asakusa.
In 1967 He was certified as a Master of Edo Moku-chokoku, and started his own company in Katsushika.
In 1998 He was certified as a Tokyo Traditional Craftsman by Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

Buddhist altar : Yujiro Ishihara(Japanese Actor), etc.
